Students who are interested in the MAOS program are welcome and encouraged to “shadow” a current student in the MAOS program. This involves spending a day at Monterey High School and attending the same classes as a current MAOS student. This opportunity allows interested students to get a feel of what it’s like to be not only in MAOS classes, but to also experience “student life” at Monterey High.

Students should arrive at the main office at Monterey High School at 7:35am at which time a student and teacher will meet with them. School begins at 7:45am and ends at 2:55pm. Students may bring a lunch or purchase lunch in the cafeteria.

MAOS shadow dates and information for the 2011-12 school year will be posted in the fall of 2011.
