Michael is the Social Science teacher in the MAOS Academy. He is a not so long, tall Texan sired in Abilene. He spent his grammar school years in New Orleans and graduated from The Green B. Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth. Undergraduate work was completed at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Graduate studies were completed at the University of Oregon and Portland State University where he received his M.A. in Classics and History.
He holds two credentials in Language Arts and Social Science. Michael moved to the peninsula in 1979 where he met his wife Janice. His family was completed when his twins were born in 1981. He was hired by MPUSD in 1989 and has been involved with the MAOS program since the beginning. Pastimes include reading, running, cycling and traveling. Teaching is one of his greatest passions.
