Instructions

Begin two "whole works logs", one for the nonfiction, one for the fiction.

In these composition notebooks, smaller than the norm (no spirals), pages are bound and, if possible, quadrant (to improve handwriting), transcribe in the author's own words those passages you deem esential to convey the theme. Include passages particularly "well written"; note the device that made them so (parallel constructions? figurative language? insightful analogies?).
