MAOS Gala and Silent Auction
The Friends of MAOS Gala is the MAOS Academy's largest and most popular fundraising event of the year. This year's Gala will be held in the fall of 2019 at the top of the Monterey Marriott in the Ferrante's Ballroom and will include dinner, dancing, and a silent auction – all in a beautiful setting overlooking the Monterey Bay.
This event requires a large amount of planning and coordination, and volunteers are always welcome!
Here are the areas we would like help:
-Gathering donations (Do you own a business - restaurant, retail store, etc - or know someone who does? Please consider reaching out to them for a donation)
-Decorating before event
-Setting up before event
-Helping during event
-Clean up after event
Please contact Therese Mayone or Callie Muller if you have an auction item (gift certificate, themed basket, wine, etc.) to donate and we will gladly make arrangements to pick it up.
Also, we are having a dessert auction! Lucky bidders will win a delicious dessert to share at the Gala, or take home to enjoy later. If you have a special talent for baking and would be willing to donate a specialty dessert, please contact Callie Muller at email@example.com or 831-601-6808.
MAOS Welcome Picnic/Beach Party
At the beginning of each school year, MAOS hosts a “Welcome Picnic” for all MAOS families. Next year's event will be held in the fall at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove. This event is a great way to celebrate the new school year with friends, family, and MAOS staff members at a fun-filled day at the beach. MAOS will provide hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs and homemade chili, as well as kayaks and life jackets.
Families are welcome and encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Donations are welcome!
$10/family helps to defray the cost of the event.
MAOS sweatshirts ($30) and t-shirts ($15) are also for sale.
